A MAN was hospitalised with chest and spine injuries after a crash in north-east Suffolk this morning.

The single-vehicle incident saw a blue Peugeot 406 leave the A1065 at Wangford around 8.20am, finishing up in some woodland.

Four fire appliances, including an enhanced rescue vehicle, helped to release the 25-year-old casualty.

He was taken to hospital at nearby RAF Lakenheath.

A spokeswoman for East of England Ambulance Service said his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
