A WASTE truck ploughed through the central reservation on the A14 near Ipswich this morning, creating delays for motorists.
A police spokesman said the accident, which happened shortly before 7am today, involved a Biffa waste truck.
He said the vehicle was travelling east along the A14 near the Whitehouse turn off when it crashed and “skipped” across the central reservation.
“It ended up facing the other way on the westbound carriageway,” the spokesman said.
“It caused some traffic problems but fortunately nobody else was involved.”
The vehicle was moved from the road by 7.15am and police had cleared the scene by 8am.
Damage to the crash barrier, described as “extensive” is due to be repaired by the Highways Agency.
