Three properties have been left without water after a main pipe burst in Halstead this morning.
Water flooded out on the A131 Sudbury Road near the Churchill Avenue junction when the six inch water main burst around 5am.
Emma Staples from Anglian Water said: “Our engineer was on site within half an hour to stop the leak and he has visited each customer to apologise and update them on the repair works which are underway.”
She said two-way traffic lights had been put in place on Sudbury Road to allow the crew to complete the repair.
“Everything should be back to normal later today, and before the home-time rush hour,” she added.
