A NEW commander has been appointed at a military base within Suffolk.
Colonel David Turner has taken up his new role at Wattisham Airfield, near Needham Market, the home of all the British Army's Apache attack helicopter.
Colonel Turner, who takes over from Colonel Neil Hutton, said: “My role is about taking some of the burden for the running of Wattisham away from the regiments, allowing them to focus of their core job of supporting operations, principally in Afghanistan.”
