THE strong gales that brought the Suffolk Show to an early close are continuing to batter the county.
Wind speeds approaching 30mph have been recorded in coastal towns and there have been heavy downpours throughout the afternoon. The rain is expected to clear up later this evening with a dry night predicted. However, the winds are unlikely to die down meaning a blustery night across the county.
Tomorrow is likely to be dry but windy with temperatures around 14 degrees.
