Weather & Travel: No major delays on rail or roads
NO major delays have been reported on the region’s road and rail networks this morning.
The cloudy conditions this morning are set to turn into rain later today with heavy showers expected for much of the afternoon and evening.
There have been some delays on the east-bound A14 following a broken down vehicle near Wherstead.
A broken down train has causing disruption in the Great Bentley area of Essex.
Because of this, there are delays of up to 40 minutes for services between Thorpe-le-Soken and Colchester. These delays will continue until approximately 9.30am.
Drivers faced delays last night after a cyclist came off his bike, injuring his head.
The incident happened in Wherstead Road at about 10.50pm and the road was closed for nearly an hour while investigations were carried out. The cyclist was not seriously hurt.
