Weather & Travel: Roads clear after cloudy start

PEOPLE waking up across Suffolk and Essex this morning can expect a cold and cloudy start to the day, with temperatures not expected to reach more than 13C.

There will be sunny intervals throughout the morning but conditions will remain cloudy and overcast for most of the day.

A broken down vehicle on the A12 at Martlesham Heath caused delays on the northbound carriageway between the junctions for Eagle Way and Main Road. This incident has now cleared.

A single-vehicle accident has also caused some delays on the A146 Beccles Road at Barnby, near Lowestoft.

Some rail users may face slightly longer journeys this morning than normal due to congestion caused by earlier delays.
