After the scorching high temperatures earlier this week, the region’s weather is set to turn slightly colder today with a chance of some rain showers.

A cloudy morning is forecast, with occasional rain spreading eastwards, but it is expected to brighten up to sunnier conditions for the rest of the day. There is a small chance of the odd light shower during the afternoon.

The maximum temperature will hit 17C (62.6).

Tomorrow, early mist patches are expected to clear for a sunny, dry day. High temperatures will again be around the 17C mark.
