The Met Office have issued an amber weather warning for the east coast of Suffolk and Essex.
The warning covers the overnight and rush hour periods from 12.30am until 10am.
Heavy snow showers are expected with travel delays likely.
Train operator Greater Anglia said that it was hoping to run all of its services as normal on Wednesday but that this was subject to conditions on the day.
The rest of the region is still subject to a yellow warning which means that forecasters still think there is the potential for heavier showers throughout the day.
