People of all ages are invited to bring their families, a tent and a sense of adventure for a special sleepover at a Suffolk castle this weekend.

Starting at 6.30pm on Saturday, guests are encouraged to enjoy stories and entertainment around the campfire before they settle down for a night beneath the stars at Framlingham Castle.

Organisers of the event, which continues into Sunday, said: “Join Sir Cuss for your squire training and take part in games to test your skills and courage from 7.30pm-8.30pm.

“Prepare to sleep in the glorious medieval surroundings of Framlingham Castle and listen to Sir Cuss’ bedtime story about a knight and a dragon at 9.30pm.”

Participants are also invited to drop by the craft tent throughout the evening, or have a go at designing their own castle.

Ticket price includes entry fee and pitch fee for one tent.

Booking is essential, visit the English Heritage website for details.
