Weird and Wonderful Wood in Haughley Park delights thousands
Several thousand people visited Haughley Park over the weekend for the annual Weird and Wonderful Wood event.
Among the many and varied craftsmen and tradesmen exhibiting at the show were a number of attractions and demonstrations.
These included furniture making, archery, willow weaving, Monkey-do tree climbing and a working sawmill.
Co-organiser Miles Row said the event had gone very well across both days.
“It was really good that the sun came out on the Sunday,” he said, while adding even a few rain showers on Saturday did not put people off.
“Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves,” Mr Row added. “It’s good to get a range of demonstrators and tradespeople who were able to display their work to a wide audience.”
Mr Row said the event, organised by Stow Hundreds, had attracted around 4,400 people on the Saturday alone.
