A SUFFOLK Punch horse has been rescued after falling into a ditch full of water.
Two fire crews, the brigades rescue vehicle and a Unimog 4x4 were alerted to the incident at The Gravel in West Row at 11am today.
The distressed horse had fallen and become trapped in a metre of water.
A spokesman for the brigade said the horse was difficult to reach and while attempting to reach the scene they had to arrive on foot as the fire engines were unable to access the location.
The horse was freed by 12.08pm and left in the care of a vet.
