The Lavenham Classics car show took place on Sunday and hundreds of visitors enjoyed around 150 cars of all varieties as well as food and drink stalls and trade stands.

Singer/songwriter Mike Gage provided the live music and the cheery atmosphere prevailed despite some heavy rain in the afternoon.

The event was held to raise funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance and Lavenham Community Council and more than £1,500 was raised.

Bruce Goddard, event organiser, said: “This year the stage was set for a busy day which indeed started very well with a wide range of vehicles from Bugattis to Volkswagens and hundreds of visitors, and despite the weather shortening the day’s activities we raised well over £1,500 for the charities.”
