Students at West Suffolk College have been congratulated for their achievements on construction courses.
The Ridgeons Construction Awards took place at the Bury St Edmunds-based college’s Milburn Centre to recognise the best construction students on each course. Twelve students received awards for outstanding work and all received a selection of tools to help them with their studies.
The overall achiever student of the year award went to student Stephanie Roebuck, who is taking the full-time level two diploma in painting and decorating.
She said: “My time at college has been amazing, I have really enjoyed everything I have done. The tutors have been really helpful and have helped me develop in my trade. I am finishing this year and going on to start my own business in painting and decorating, and the skills I have learnt at the college will really help me.”
