A man is being treated by paramedics following a two vehicle collision near Newmarket.
Police were called at around 10.30am on Tuesday morning with reports of a head-on crash between a grey Ford Fiesta and a black Land Rover Discovery on Denham Road, between Dalham and Dunstall Green in west Suffolk.
Three fire crews also rushed to the scene, one each from Bury St Edmunds, Wickhambrook and Newmarket, where a casualty was cut free from their vehicle using specialist hydraulic equipment.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire & Rescue Service said an air ambulance touched down on site, where paramedics treated a male casualty for leg injuries – but this has not been confirmed by police.
The injured man was taken to West Suffolk Hospital by land ambulance, where he is receiving medical treatment.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
