Today students across Suffolk and North Essex will receive their GCSE Results.

Castle Manor Academy, Haverhill
The percentage of students achieving a grade four or above in English and maths dipped slightly at Haverhill's Castle Manor Academy, from 51% last year to 47.9% this year.
However a total of 63% of students at the school reached the threshold grade in English and 54% of students reached this in maths.
Headteacher Vanessa Whitcombe congratulated students, staff and parents and said the achievements were as a result of a huge amount of hard work from dedicated students.
"I am thrilled to see the results for these students," she said.
"As well as successes in our core subjects, we have seen excellent results in a wide range of subjects, including photography, geography, biology, food and dance.
"I am extremely proud of all of our students and they will have very bright futures."
The school was particularly thrilled to be in the top 5% of similar schools for students achieving grades 7-9 in these subjects.
Notable achievements by students at Castle Manor Academy included Nikola Yurukov, who achieved three Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and two Grade 7s, while Gracie Lewis gained one Grade 9, three Grade 8s and four Grade 7s.
Tom Wolstenholme-Hogg excelled in the STEM subjects with a grade 9 in maths and grade 8s across his separate sciences.
Hannah Doyle had great success across the EBacc suite of subjects, notably grade 8s in science and geography and grade 7s in English and maths.
King Edward VI School, Bury St Edmunds
The number of students at Bury St Edmunds' King Edward VI school achieving a grade four in both English and maths fell, from 76% last year to 69% this time around.
In total 215 year-11s sat the exams.
Headteacher Lee Walker said: "We are very pleased with the achievements of our students this year, and thrilled that their hard work has paid off.
"It is wonderful to see our year-11 students securing such excellent results in a wide range of subjects, and achieving the grades they need for the next stage of their lives.
"These results are a reflection of their dedication and resilience. I am also enormously grateful for the support and encouragement given to them by our hugely talented and committed team of staff here at King Edward VI."
Mildenhall College Academy
Mildenhall College Academy principal Susan Byles said the number of students achieving the higher GCSE grades was "astounding", with 57% of students achieving at least one of more grade above a 4.
The percentage of students achieving at a grade 4 or above in both English and maths rose 6% from last year, to 58%.
Mrs Byles said: "I would like to congratulate all of the students for their hard work and outstanding results. Well done!"
Debbie Clinton, chief executive at Academy Transformation Trust, added: "I would like to congratulate the principal and the staff at Mildenhall College Academy for their dedication and commitment to getting the best possible results from their students.
"All students follow a challenging academic curriculum with well above the national entry for EBacc subjects.
"These results represent outstanding progress for all students from their starting points at the academy and highlight the continued and sustained progress the academy makes overall."
Newmarket Academy
The headteacher at Newmarket Academy - which has undergone extensive refurbishment this year - has paid tribute to GCSE students for achieving some great results.
However, the percentage of pupils achieving a grade four or above in English and maths has fallen from last year.
In total 52.4% of the schools 147 students achieved that benchmark, compared to 65% last year.
However the academy pointed to the fact that students there made a greater than national average levels of progress from their starting points.
Nick Froy, headteacher, said: "There have been further improvements in many subjects and we are pleased with what our students have achieved.
"The students at the academy have worked incredibly hard to secure the platform for their future successes. We are looking forward to hearing of their bright and exciting futures.
"The school has had a fantastic year and with the year-long refurbishment coming to an end we are in a good place to drive further forward and make this school an outstanding beacon of success for our community."
Notable individual achievements included Fred Kirk, who scored eight grade 9s and two grade 8s, as well as an A grade in Free Standing Maths Qualification (equivalent to an AS Level).
Riley Doyle achieved two grade 9s, five grade 8s and two grade 7s, while Lily Millbank achieved five grade 9s and four grade 8s.
Mr Froy added: "These results confirm the academy's transformation and shows this is a school where the students and teachers work effectively together for every child.
"The school continues to be ambitious and has the support of its community to be able to realise its aspiration to be the outstanding school the community of Newmarket so clearly deserves.
Tim Coulson, chief executive of the Samuel Ward Academy Trust, said: "I would like to congratulate all the pupils and staff for their hard work and success.

St Benedict's, Bury St Edmunds
Imogen Senior, Headteacher at St Benedict's school in Bury St Edmunds said: "Once again the students at St Benedict's have achieved in the highest terms.
"We are delighted that so many students have achieved not just the standard 4+ benchmark but 54% achieved the higher standard of 5 or more passes at grade 5 and above. The high number of grade 9s achieved also show the exceptional standards our students set themselves."
The percentage of students achieving a grade four or above in English and maths rose from 67% last year to 71% this year.
Samuel Ward Academy
More students a Samuel Ward Academy, in Haverhill, achieved grade 9s - the very highest grade - than in previous years.
The number of Grade 8s, equivalent to an old A*, rose substantially as well, while maths results reached a three-year high with nearly three-quarters of all students achieving a standard pass at grade 4.
In total 62.9% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in both English and maths, similar to last year's 64%.
Headteacher Andy Hunter said: "We are delighted that so many students did so well.
"It is especially good to see the increase in the highest grades across a wide range of subjects, but every qualification that a student worked hard for is a qualification to be proud of, whatever the grade.
"Congratulations to all the students who worked so hard for these results."
Notable individual achievements included Jack Ainsworth-Mackay, Mathew Bowd, Adam Bullock, James Cowie, George Farrington, Neve Hopkins, Amber Howard, Dylan Morgan-Owen, Becky Rigg and Dodi Rukhadze, who all achieved exceptionally high grades across a range of subjects.
Thomas Gainsborough School, Sudbury
Thomas Gainsborough School has hailed its best ever set of GCSE results, with 74% of students at the school achieved a pass grade in both English and Maths - up from 70% in 2018.
Headteacher Wayne Lloyd said: "We are delighted with these results. I would like to congratulate the students on their excellent performance.
"It is a fitting reward for their hard work and the dedication and the support that they have received from their teachers.
"This year group were the first to join us from their primary schools as year-sevens in 2014 following the school reorganisation in Suffolk and have proved to be an absolute credit to the school and their families, from first to last.
"We look forward to welcoming over 120 of them back into our sixth form in September.
"We expect high standards at TGS and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the highest possible outcomes for all our students in the future."
Particularly successful students this year include Aimee Sharp, who attained three grade 9s, five grade 8s and two grade 7s.
James Hawkins achieved five grade 9s, one grade 8 and one grade 7, while Finley Paul got three grade 9s, two grade 8s and a four grade 7s.
Yola Lohr achieved three grade 9s, two grade 8s and two grade 7s. Also, Daisy Holden with two grade 9s, five grade 8s and two grade 7s, while Charlotte Knights got three grade 9s, one grade 8, five grade 7s and a grade 6.
There were 225 students who sat examinations in year-11 this summer.
