A 77-YEAR-OLD huntsman is in a serious condition in hospital after a riding accident in a Suffolk village.
The man suffered abdominal and pelvic injuries when his horse reared up, unseated him and fell on top of him in Whatfield, near Hadleigh, shortly before 2.30pm on Saturday.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance was called because of the isolated location of the accident.
Its clinical crew of Dr Troels Hansen and critical care paramedic Jemma Varela administered fluid therapy and applied splints to the patient and flew him to Ipswich Hospital.
The aircraft, piloted by Captain Chris Sherriff, arrived at the hospital at 3.08pm.
