A SCHOOLGIRL has had a foot of her hair cut off for charity.

Before the weekend Rosie Church, 11, from White Colne near Halstead, had hair down to the middle of her back. Now she sports a blonde bob.

She intends to donate her golden tresses to the Little Princess Trust, which provides real-hair wigs to children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

The Littlegarth School pupil has also raised over £1,100 in sponsorship, which will pay for three complete wigs to be produced.
