Members of the Forest Heath Women’s Institute held a ‘Golden Tea Party’ as part of the celebrations for the organisation’s centenary.
As the WI will be 100 years old next year, a “baton” will be travelling around all of the WI federations in the UK, starting from Wales and ending up in London next year. The Suffolk West Federation, which includes 61 WIs, started in 1919. The baton visited Barton Mills during its trip through west Suffolk to coincide with the party organised by local members.
