IPSWICH Witches captain Daniel King is one of a group of riders who look set to be banned in Poland.

King and Coventry's GP star Chris Harris are two of seven Ostrow riders who have been suspended by the club following the postponement of a fixture against Gniezno in July that led to a near-riot.

All 16 riders from the two teams refused to take part in the meeting, citing the track was dangerous even though referee Marek Wojaczek called it “not perfect but raceable.”

The Ostrow club have since decided to both ban and fine their riders - Harris, Daniel Nermark, King, Patryk Pawlaszczyk, Nicolai Klindt, Adrian Gomolski and Karol Zabik.

Nermark, King, Pawlaszczyk Nicolai Klindt have been handed one-year suspensions, while Gomolski, Harris and Zabik received two-year bans.

Whether or not the bans will stick remains to be seen.
