POLICE in Essex are appealing for a woman driver to come forward who was in the vicinity of an incident in Witham.
Officers were called at just before 6pm on Thursday August 2 to the areas of Trent Road and Wharf Close following a report of a man with an offensive weapon.
Richard Hearn, aged 46, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with possession of an offensive weapon and affray and appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on August 6. He will next appear at Colchester Magistrates Court on September 17.
It is believed that the woman was driving a silver Ford Focus style vehicle and she is asked to contact Dc Steven Walker on 101.
