A MAN who was arrested in connection with the death of a man in Witham on Saturday has been released on bail.

The 19-year-old from Braintree was arrested in connection with the death of Bradley Cockel on Sunday.

He has been bailed until July, pending further inquiries.

Bradley Cockel, 19, from Braintree is believed to have died after taking a dangerous drug on Saturday.

Officers went to an address in Bramble Road, Witham, at about 2.25am on Saturday after being called by the ambulance service.

The death prompted Essex police to warn about a “dangerous batch of drugs” on the streets.

Two other men were taken ill during the same incident but later recovered after hospital treatment.

All three are believed to have taken a drug thought to be from the LSD family.

Three other men who were arrested in connection with the investigation have been bailed until dates in May and July.
