Witham: Essex’s Olly Murs is top of the pops

OLLY Murs from Witham, Essex, is the king of the charts this week after reaching number one with an album and single.

The former X Factor singer’s third album Right Place Right Time went straight in at number one on the Official Albums Chart.

With an 127,000 copies sold in its first week, Right Place Right Time is also the fastest-selling male solo album of the year. Murs’ single Troublemaker featuring US rapper Flo Rida held firm for a second week at number one on the Official Singles Chart.
