Police in Witham are urging people to keep their valuables safe and secure following a number of thefts from vehicles.
They are also urging cyclists to be vigilant after a spate of bicycles being stolen in the area.
A number of thefts have occurred this winter and many are from insecure vehicles or unattended and unlocked pedal cycles.
Police believe the items, including computer games, jewellery, car stereos and bikes are being sold on.
Pc Paul Hales said: “I would urge people to remember that such items are still vulnerable even if they are on your driveway or in your own garden.”
