THREE men are due to appear in court next month having been charged with assault following a stabbing in Witham.
The attack happened shortly before 7am on Saturday, September 15 when a 20-year-old Maldon man sustained a puncture wound to his bottom during an altercation on Laurence Avenue. He was conveyed to Broomfield Hospital by paramedics, treated and subsequently discharged.
On Monday, October 1, three men were arrested. Two 19-year-old men from Witham and an 18-year-old man from also from the town have now been charged each with one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
All three men have been released on police bail prior to their appearances at Colchester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, November 20.
