Police are investigating two reports of groups of children being approached by people in cars in Ipswich.

The first happened at around 3.35pm on Monday, March 12, where two eleven-year-old boys were approached by a car as they walked along Park Road.

The male driver of the car, a blue, medium-sized car with tinted or reflective windows, stopped beside the boys and gestured them to come to him.

The children kept their distance and the man drove off.

The second incident took place at around 3.50pm on Friday, March 16, in Sherrington Road.

An eleven-year-old girl and two friends aged 10-years-old were walking down the hill towards Norwich Road and as they passed the library spotted two cars in the car park near Broomhill Pool.

The cars were circling around the car park before they stopped and the occupants got out and shouted to the girls to get in.

When the girls turned around and walked back up the hill, the suspects got back into their cars and drove up the hill past them.

One of the cars was blue and the other was black.

One of the suspects is described as a white man, aged in his 30s, 5ft 8ins tall, of average build, with short dark brown hair.

There were also two other men and a woman present although the only description of them is that the woman had long brown hair.

Anyone with information about either of these incidents is asked to contact the Incident and Crime Management Hub on 101, quoting 14547/18 in connection with Park Road, or 14539/18 in connection with Sherrington Road.
