POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a worker at a convenience store in Clacton was racially abused.

The incident happened at SKM Retail in Old Road just after 1.30pm on Monday when the 40-year-old member of staff was targeted by a customer.

Investigating officer Det Con Claire Lukey, of Clacton police, said: “We have looked at CCTV and can see that there were two male and two female customers in the shop at the time.

“We would like them to contact us.”
