TRIBUTES have been paid to a “truly inspirational” Essex teacher who has died, aged 30.

Kerry Farrow, formerly a science teacher at Clacton Coastal Academy, suffered a massive brain haemorrhage in July.

The mother-of-three from Wivenhoe, founder of the award-winning Multiple Mummy blog, lost her battle with the condition earlier this month.

Mrs Farrow, who also taught at Clacton County High School, was formerly an occupational therapist in London and worked with victims of the 7/7 bombings.

Nick Farrow, assistant headteacher at Manningtree High School, paid tribute to this wife saying she was much-loved wherever she worked.

“After switching to teaching she became an outstanding teacher and had a great relationship with her students - she was a role model and was truly inspirational ,” he added.

“Kerry sadly suffered a massive brain haemorrhage which she fought bravely for five months – as only she could. She will be sorely missed by so many people.”

Mrs Farrow left teaching in 2008 for the birth of her first child, Noah. Twins, Florence and Zachary, followed in September 2009.

It was a year later when Mrs Farrow started her blog, multiplemummy.com. The website - which dealt with issues around motherhood and pregnancy and received more than 220,000 visits - won the ‘best family fun blog’ gong at the Mad Blog Awards 2012.

Mrs Farrow went on to set up a second blog, www.science-sparks.com, with Emma Vanstone, aimed at encouraging young children to get excited about science.

Mrs Farrow’s online friends organised a ‘virtual’ prayer for her in November because of her health problems. At one stage it was reportedly one of the most popular subjects on social networking website Twitter.

A private funeral will take place on January 4, 2013, followed by a thanksgiving service at St Mary’s Church, Wivenhoe, at 3pm, where all are welcome.
