British Transport Police has issued CCTV images of a woman officers would like to speak to after a rail passenger in Wivenhoe was repeatedly attacked.
The incident began at Wivenhoe rail station at around 11.20pm on December 30, when a man asked a woman to turn her music down.
She reacted violently, beating his head and body before a member of the public intervened.
They then boarded the same carriage where she assaulted him again.
He tried to escape to another carriage but she jumped over the train seats and ran through to the next carriage a few minutes later and assaulted him again while he was facing away from her.
The same member of public intervened again. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Anyone with information or who recognises the woman in the CCTV images should call BTP on 0800 405040.
