A WOMAN will appear in court tomorrow after being charged with attempted murder following a domestic stabbing in Essex.
Andrea Saffill, 44, was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning after police were called to an address in Maldon.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “Police were contacted by the ambulance service shortly after 4am on Thursday November 5 following reports that a man had been stabbed in a house on Washington Road.
“Officers arrived and found a 48-year-old man with serious injuries. He was conveyed to Broomfield Hospital but was then transferred to the Royal London Hospital where his condition is described as stable.”
Saffill, an amusement arcade employee from Washington Road, Maldon, was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with attempted murder.
She is now being held in police custody and will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
