A woman has appeared in court charged in connection with a fatal crash in Newmarket.

Sadie Fuller, 32, of Exning Road in Newmarket, has been charged with two offences of causing death by dangerous driving after two men died and a woman was seriously injured in a collision on May 27.

She appeared at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich today to face six charges.

They relate to a crash that involved a blue Volkswagen Golf and a silver Renault Laguna, which police were called to at around 11.50pm on May 27.

A 20-year-old man who was driving the Laguna and a 43-year-old male passenger of the Golf died at the scene.

The two victims were named as Marius Geoacas and Paul Gale in charges read out in court yesterday.

Two women from the Golf were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries – where one remains in a serious but stable condition.

Fuller was arrested following the collision and had been receiving treatment in Addenbrooke’s Hospital while under police guard.

She was discharged from hospital on Monday evening, and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

The 32-year-old was charged with six offences – two of causing death by dangerous driving, one of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving without insurance, another of driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and perverting the course of justice.

Fuller was remanded in custody and appeared before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court via video link today.

She spoke only to confirm her name and address.
