Woman cut free from car

FIREFIGHTERS in Essex have cut a woman out of her car after she was involved in a three-vehicle collision.

The accident happened in Braintree Road, Great Dunmow, at about 2.45pm this afternoon and two fire crews from Dunmow were called to the scene by ambulance staff.

Upon arrival they used cutting equipment to remove the roof of the woman’s car in order to release her. She had suffered neck and back injuries and was taken to hospital.
