Paramedics have been spotted at Thorpe-le-Soken station in Essex this afternoon – they are currently helping a woman who has gone into labour.
Greater Anglia bosses say trains are being delayed between Clacton and Colchester while emergency services help the woman.
Ambulance crews were sent to the scene shortly after 1pm.
It is not known how old the woman is, but paramedics confirmed she has gone into labour on a train.
Greater Anglia received reports a woman had gone into labour at the station at around 1.25pm.
Mainline services between London Liverpool Street and Norwich are also being delayed due to a track defect at Ilford.
Several trains have been cancelled for the peak service tonight.
