A WOMAN appeared in court today charged with the murder of a 61-year-old man in a coastal Essex town.
Anne Starmore, 59, of Frinton, is accused of killing Michael Bernhardt at a flat in Queens Road last Thursday.
Starmore made no plea and was remanded in custody following the short hearing before magistrates in Chelmsford.
She will next appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on June 16.
