A woman in her 20s was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition today after collapsing in Witham in Essex.
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) was called at 1.25pm today, Thursday, August 24, to reports of a woman collapsed in Armond Road.
An ambulance crew, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance attended the scene.
A spokesman for the trust said a woman in her 20s was flown to Queen’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Dave Weightman, duty locality officer, added: “Crews arrived very promptly at the scene and everyone worked well together.”
A spokeswoman for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance said: “Essex and Herts Air Ambulance was tasked to assist EEAST and Essex Police with a female patient medical emergency.
“Teams worked together on scene to optimise patient outcome.
“The patient was transferred to a trauma unit for ongoing treatment.”
