A WOMAN was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a road accident in which her car caught alight.
Emergency services were called to Waldringfield Road, Martlesham, at shortly after 11pm yesterday following a single vehicle accident involving a blue Mercedes.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire which broke out in the car under control just before 11.40pm.
The woman driving the car was taken to Ipswich Hospital for a check-up, a police spokesman said.
