A WOMAN has died at the scene of a crash near Lowestoft this evening.
Police officers were called to reports of the accident by ambulance crews at around 5.45pm.
A Suzuki and a Citroen collided and a woman, from the Suzuki, was declared dead at the scene in Oulton Road, the B1375 in Flixton.
Two children, a boy and a girl, who were also travelling in the vehicle, were taken to the James Paget Hospital with injuries.
A Suffolk police spokeswoman said their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The male driver of the Citroen sustained serious injuries and was also taken to the James Paget Hospital.
The road is currently closed and diversions are in place as collision investigators scour the scene of the crash.
Any witnesses to the collision, or anyone with any information which may help police officers are asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Suffolk Police on 01473 613500.
