Police are appealing for information after a woman has reported being sexually assaulted in a Suffolk village.
Officers were contacted around 10.50pm on Tuesday by a man who expressed concern for a woman in her 40s in Norton.
A search to locate the woman was conducted by officers, who found her in the Norton Road area around midnight.
A Suffolk police spokeswoman said: “She reported that a man – described as possibly in his 40s with dark hair - driving a small white van had pulled over and had spoken to her before sexually assaulting her.
“Officers are investigating what happened and are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at that time, particularly if you saw the woman or any vehicle in the vicinity.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Constabulary’s dedicated sexual offences investigation team at Bury St Edmunds on 101 quoting ST/15/2298.
