A ROAD had to be closed after a three vehicle accident left a 25-year-old woman needing hospital treatment.
It happened around 2.15pm on the A134 Colchester road, Assington, close to the Suffolk and Essex border, and involved a red Ford Escort, white Mercedes van and a white Fiat van.
A 25-year-old woman was taken to Colchester General Hospital with lower back injuries.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said because of the volume of traffic the road had to be closed and was reopened at 3.30pm.
