A woman had to be cut free from her car by fire crews after a crash in Holland Road, Clacton-on-Sea this morning.

The accident involved two vehicles, and occurred just after 11am.

One fire crew from Clacton and one from Weeley attended and, using two sets of specialist cutting equipment, had released the casualty by 12.30pm.

An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were also sent to the scene and treated the woman, believed to be in her 30s, for a suspected neck injury.
