Two women from the Needham Market area who were arrested in connection with a shooting in Bury St Edmunds last month have been re-bailed.

Police were called at 6.45pm on Tuesday, August 4, to reports that a man had been shot in the stomach at an address in Forum Court.

The victim, a man in his thirties, was treated in hospital for his injuries.

The two women, aged 59 and 29, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder on August 5 and released on bail after being questioned by detectives. They have now been re-bailed until November 10.

Five men have been charged with conspiracy to murder in relation to this crime - Simon Webber, aged 31, of Sydenham Close, Bridgwater, Somerset; Frank Warren, aged 51, of Victoria Road, Dorchester; Andrew Seaton, aged 39, of Frome View, Maiden Newton, Dorchester; Paul Baker, aged 34, of Neils View, Maiden Newton, Dorchester, and 59-year-old Colin Deferia, of Battisford Road, Barking, Suffolk.

All five men have appeared before Ipswich Crown Court for preliminary hearings and been remanded in custody pending plea and case management hearings at the crown court on October 30.
