A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after her leg was broken in a road accident this morning.
Emergency services were called to the slip road of the A14 westbound at Beyton, near Bury St Edmunds, at 10.30am after a silver Smart car collided with a tree.
A lane of the carriageway has been closed off.
A spokeswoman for the police said two women were injured in the accident - one was described as “walking wounded”, the other suffered a broken leg and was taken to West Suffolk Hospital.
Police are still at the scene waiting for a recovery team to take the vehicle away.
