Fire crews in Suffolk have extinguished an out of control bonfire last night.
Crews from Woodbridge attended reports of a bonfire out of control in Clare Avenue in the town around 5.30pm.
They arrived on the scene to find a bonfire had been lit underneath some conifers which then ignited. The crews used two hose reels to extinguish the fire, which was brought under control at 5.57pm.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: “When lighting bonfires ensure they are in an open area and not close to other flammable materials such as trees and fences.”
