A woman was airlifted to hospital after falling from a horse near Woodbridge yesterday.

The ambulance service was called at 11.15am and sent a rapid response vehicle and an air ambulance to the scene.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: “The woman, who is in her 40s, was thrown from her horse and as a result was suffering from pain in her neck and back, as well as sustaining a facial injury.

“We dispatched the air ambulance due to access issues with the location of the incident, and she was then flown to Ipswich Hospital. Fortunately her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
