Pupils at Woodbridge School delighted audiences with an “incredibly slick” performance of classic The Sound of Music.

A total of 105 pupils took to the stage at the Seckford Theatre and dozens of others worked behind the scenes and provided lighting and sound effects.

The musical sees the high-spirited Maria and the Von Trapp family escaping Austria from the Nazis, who are seeking Captain Von Trapp’s immediate service in their navy.

The sold-out performances were held just before the February half-term.

Drama is an academic option for GCSE and A-level students at the school.
