The festival which is held in pubs and restaurants across Woodbridge will include lots of new names as well as more established acts.
Festival organisers Ian Matthews and Marco Spina from myFestival are excited about what this year’s SpringFest will bring.
They said:“We’re very lucky with the number of both bands and venues that have contacted us to be part of the festival this year.
“Due to this, we are now putting on four days of music over the last two weekends of the month.
“This format works so well in the town, and allows both locals and holiday-makers to drop in and enjoy as much as they like.”
The organisers hope that the expanded weekend will help them to support local acts as well.
“We always strive to not only present established local bands, but also give new acts a friendly and welcoming audience to perform to.
“Supporting up-and-coming talent is very important to us, and we love seeing acts grow in confidence and popularity over the years.”
The event will start at The Angel Pub on May 19 before moving to the Kings Head pub on May 25, the Crown Hotel on May 26 and will finish at The Table restaurant on May 27.
The festival will be a mixture of live music bands including Strike The Sun, In My Disguise and The Biscuit Brothers as well as Roma, Endnotes and Mango Chutney.
As well as the live acts there will also be silent discos where participants listen to music mixed by DJ’s through headphones.
There will be 70s, 80s,90s and 00s music as well as house and techno.
“The silent discos are always hugely popular, and we’re always amazed at the age range of those who want to take part - from young to old, everyone joins together for a fantastic night,” said the organisers.
“It’s far more fun and sociable than you’d imagine.
“This year we are presenting Italian DJs Pietro Santonocito and DJ Loreenz for the first time, plus welcoming back Friday Fox Recordings.
“We’re really looking forward to 2018.”
All events at the festival will be free to enter with headphones available to hire on the night.
