Each year the council award these grants to groups who “contribute to the well being or promote the image of the Town.”
Last year’s grant winners included Woodbridge Museum who were awarded £1500 and youth group Just 42 who received £500. The council stress that county and national charities are unlikely to receive funding from the scheme unless they can show that their money will directly benefit the people of Woodbridge.
Funds for the grant scheme are limited and will be considered by the council at their meeting in July.
Those who wish to apply for the awards should send their application to the town clerk at Shire Hall by May 31.
More information about the grants, including selection criteria, is available on the town council’s website.
