FIRE crews were scrambled to rescue a woman waist-deep in mud near the River Deben at Woodbridge.
She became stuck next to a wooden jetty off Quay Side shortly after midnight.
Fire fighters took around half an hour to free the woman.
An ambulance was called but she did not have any injuries or require any further treatment.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service sent two water rescue vans and crews from Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds to the scene.
