AN off-duty nurse has come to the rescue after two cars collided causing one to strike a tree.
Emergency services have been called to the A146 at Worlingham and arrived at the scene shortly after 11.45am today.
A police spokesman said one motorist had suffered minor injuries, while the paramedics and air ambulance had been called out for another motorist involved.
He said an off-duty nurse was nearby at the time of the collision and helped to treat those involved while waiting for the emergency services to arrive.
The incident has left the road closed in both directions.
