JAMES Wright, Belle Vue’s Stockport-based rider, will miss the crucial Knockout Cup first leg tie against Poole at Kirkmanshulme Lane on Monday night.

He was injured in a crash on Sunday afternoon riding for his Polish League club, Miskolc, in a home match against Gdansk. The Aces will operate the rider replacement rule in his absence with his teammates sharing his programmed rides.

Team manager Chris Morton: “James has told us that nothing is broken but he won’t be fit to face Poole.”

ADAM Skornicki has been told to rest for a week after making a shock comeback in the Polish League on Sunday. He will miss Wolverhampton’s Elite League meetings with Ipswich at Monmore tonight and Foxhall on Thursday with serious face injuries.
